Congratulations to Cam, Bryce and Hudson for all of your efforts this week!
On behalf of 2S, I would like to congratulate Mrs Smith on the birth of her beautiful baby girl Koa, and wish her all the best on her maternity leave. I, Mrs Lozi would like to introduce myself as the 2S class teacher for the remainder of the year. Thank you students and parents for your flexibility and patience in making it a smooth transition for myself and 2S. You are most welcome to contact me through the class blog, or alternatively phone the school to make an appointment to see me. I look forward to a wonderful Term 4 with 2S. We have had a massive couple of weeks and I will be posting photos of our adventures shortly.
Warmest regards, Mrs Lozi What a fantastic way to finish Book Week, with a parade!
We had sheep, Minecraft characters, Stampy, Puff the Magic Dragon and so many more creative characters settle in to 2S for the day on Friday. We had a great time at the parade; enjoyed reading books from this years CBCA finalists and winner (Alison Leester's 'Tricky's Bad Day'); as well as sharing our own favourite books with our classmates. Thank you to the parents, carers and helpers who took time to make their child/ren feel special in their costumes. Everyone looked incredible! In our History unit this term we are exploring cultures from across the globe. In week 4 we visited Italy!
We learnt how to play bocce and even made pasta from scratch. Next week we're off to China... Ciao! On Friday of Week 1, Paul from the Eurobodalla Shire Council came into class to talk to us about weed identification. He had samples of many weeds including the Fish-tail Fern and Asparagus which he was able to show us their root system and explain how they spread. It was super interesting! Make sure you check your yard for the pesky plants pictured below and remove them (from the root) as soon as possible. They can do great damage to our natural environment.
