Year 2 have had the pleasure of reading with some of the residents at Banksia Village recently. It's been wonderful to watch and a nice experience for 2S.
Thank you to all the wonderful women that came to school early for our Mother's Day breakfast last week. It was a lovely morning with fresh baked croissants, fresh fruit platters and delicious chia pots (from Nourish on North).
A lovely ambience was provided by the Jenson boys dad playing acoustic guitar and singing, as well as the wood fire pizza oven blazing to keep us toasty and warm. Thank you to the P&C as well as Mrs West for organising a great, yummy morning. Keep up the hard work Martha, Louis (2 awards - 1 last term), Elijah (reading) and Rielly!
(2 pics because it's Friday and some people can't keep their eyes open.) On Wednesday we had a visit from the local Fire Brigade.
Kelwyn took us through important fire safety information like what to do when there is an emergency and in particular a fire - call 000, get down low and GO, GO, GO! Other members and volunteers from the brigade showed us their fire truck and just how powerful that hose really is! Thank you for the visit Broulee Fire Brigade, you are life savers! Year 1 and 2 attended an AFL Skills day at Captain Oldrey Park hosted by representatives from the GWS Giants. We learnt some great skills and had a fun day.
Well done to all that participated in Cross Country and congratulations to Reilly and Declan for making it to district!
Towards the end of Term 1 we participated in the NSW wide 'Big Veggie Crunch'.
To celebrate all things veggie, we made hummus and ate it with carrot stick, YUM! |
